Rent the jersey, own game day. Here is why we started.
Wearing a real jersey to the game beats a generic tee with a logo on it. The jersey is the whole point: the players' names, the colors, the reason the stands look the way they do. We started Jersey Fly on one conviction, that repping your team like that should not cost as much as the ticket.
Right now it does. An authentic jersey runs $150 to $300, so most fans settle for a knockoff or nothing at all. What makes that absurd is that the jerseys already exist, hanging in closets across the country, worn a handful of times and left to collect dust. Our mission is to set that value loose. Rent the jersey you want for your game, wear it like you own it, then send it back. The owner earns from a jersey that was just sitting there, fans get game day for a fraction of the price, and not one more jersey gets bought, worn once and forgotten.
It is not only for fans who own nothing. If you already have a jersey but want to rep a different player this week, or show up in the alternate colors, rent yours out while it hangs in the closet and rent a fresh one for your next game.
We were the fans doing the math: a week's pay for a jersey we would wear twice, then hang up the second the season turned. Multiply that by every fan, every team and every sport and you are staring at a mountain of value hanging on hangers.
The person with the jersey you want already has it. Supply was never the problem, trust was. Getting a real jersey out of a stranger's closet, onto your back for game day and safely home takes payments, shipping, condition proof, and someone willing to stand behind the whole thing when it goes sideways. Nobody had built that, so we did. Jersey Fly is the trust layer between two strangers and a jersey in the mail.
An ecosystem of jerseys: every closet in the country opened up into one shared collection, so any jersey you can imagine is a few taps away. The throwback your dad wore. The rookie who just blew up. The player traded before you could pull the trigger. A world where the jersey in your closet earns its keep, authenticity is proven, condition is documented, and every rental just works for the fan and the owner alike.
